Safe systems at work (N.E.)

Each staff member upon joining Swift Office Cleaning Services is issued with our Health and Safety Manual, ‘Safe Systems at Work’. This manual covers such points as the general use of cleaning chemicals.

It also details what not to do with chemicals and the dangers of mixing chemicals. COSHH Data Sheets and Assessments are placed in the client's cleaning cupboard together with Risk Assessments and all other Health and Safety information required by the regulations.

Staff training

Every new staff member undergoes initial staff training. They are issued with a Health and Safety manual: ‘Safe Systems at Work’. This document covers safe systems of work, chemicals and their use, COSHH, and general safety. Each staff member is also issued with a product guide detailing all the products they will use. Within twelve weeks of starting they will be assessed and re-trained if required. The staff member will then be required to sign a statement confirming that they have been re-assessed and this statement is monitored by the Health and Safety Director. We regard staff training as an ongoing process updated continuously.

Environmental policy

As a company we have been pro-active with our environmental policy.

Many of the products we use are now dispersed through trigger sprays rather than aerosols.

We also support our clients with regard to accommodating the removal of re-cycled waste from their work areas.
